The movie, which has been directed by Alankrita Shrivastava, is about the dual lives that these women lead. The burkha is symbol of the veils which cover their inner lives from the outside world. Their clothing and conservative roles they are confined to in their everyday lives are in stark contrast with the often wild and experimental inner life they lead. The trailer offers us glimpses into the rebellious and racy ways in which they try and explore, and assert their sexuality.

"Most of all, the film is about the small dreams of these four women, who are trapped in the claustrophobia of their lives. In the dichotomy between tradition and modernity, what happens to female desire-- and how long can it be contained? " Jha told Hindustan Times.

This year has seen a number of women-centric films exploring avenues of femininity that are often kept under the wraps. Earlier this year, 'Pink' portrayed the ridiculous stereotypes women have to face. It spoke about how having sex before marriage does not make a woman a 'slut', and tried to educate viewers on the value of mutual consent.

Hopefully these kinds of films will inspire more tasteful, open and non-judgemental conversations about breaking taboos women have to face when it comes to sexuality.
