    Call it vanity or obsession, but healthy hair is every woman’s dream. In fact, not just women, even men dream of having healthy, luscious hair. Nobody enjoys hairfall, and a receding hairline is definitely one thing that bothers the men. While some need medical treatments for this, some can rely on basic diet that can put the body back into equilibrium.

    Here are some foods that will definitely help you combat your hair problems:

    Salmon

    Full of protein, Omega 3 fatty acids, vitamins B12, D, and iron, Salmon is just the perfect super food to take care of your hair problems. Omega 3 is what helps your hair look shiny, as it keeps the scalp supple and hydrated. The vitamins, protein and iron keep your hair strong and prevent from breakage.

    Sweet Potatoes 

    Sweet potatoes help in preventing hair loss problem. Full of beta carotene, this is an excellent source of vitamin A. It promotes the growth of healthy cells and tissues, including hair and scalp. Deficiency of this vitamin leads to dry scalp, resulting in dandruff.

    Broccoli

    “Eat your greens” is probably something all of us heard while growing up. Broccoli is good not just for your skin health but hair health as well. A rich source of vitamin A and C, it helps produce sebum which acts like a natural hair conditioner. It is also rich in Omega 3 fatty acids and iron, which result in strong hair.

    Tip: Eat raw broccoli heads as a snack or in salad three or four times a week

    Nuts

    Almonds are your answer to hair troubles! Loaded with zinc, which is responsible for maintaining a healthy circulation in the scalp, almond keeps the hair shiny and well-moisturised. As it is also rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, almonds add volume and health to the hair.

    Tip: Snacking on some roasted almonds during winters is a great idea not just for your hair health, but only to keep you energised throughout the day. You can also soak some almonds in water overnight and consume them in the morning 

    - Apart from food, regular oiling goes a long way in keeping hair healthy. It’s a myth that regular shampooing will cause hair to break, in fact if we do not wash our hair regularly, the pollution stays put on our scalp, leading to dandruff.
