Siddharth is being trolled on social media for his tweet on shuttler Saina Nehwal which was slammed not just by the NCW, but also the player's husband, father and fans as well.

Nehwal too had tweeted on the security breach faced by PM Modi's convoy on January 5, writing how Prime Minister's security cannot be compromised in the country. "No nation can claim itself to be safe if the security of its own PM gets compromised. I condemn, in the strongest words possible, the cowardly attack on PM Modi by anarchists," she wrote.

He responded to Nehwal, writing, "Subtle cock champion of the world... Thank God we have protectors of India."

Later, the actor clarified it was the reference to "cock and bull, nothing disrespectful was intended". NCW chairperson wrote to the grievance officer of Twitter India, asking them to block the actor's account and take action for his offensive remarks against the shuttler.
