The movie Veere Di Wedding, produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor, premiered in 2018 and starred Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, and Shikha Talsania in prominent roles.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon will be the main stars for the upcoming sequel. The film was officially announced in November last year, and a significant portion of this Rajesh Krishnan-directed project has already been filmed by the makers.

During an interactive session with fans on Instagram in 2020, Rhea Kapoor confirmed that a sequel to the 2018 hit movie Veere Di Wedding was in the works. She expressed her excitement about the project and mentioned that it might happen sooner than she initially anticipated.

The 2018 film, directed by Shashanka Ghosh, featured an all-girl ensemble cast, including Kareena, Sonam, Swara, and Shikha.
