“2020 was the year socialism went mainstream. The dangerous ideology, which has failed everywhere it has been tried & ruined countless lives, is on its way to becoming the default economic policy of the Democratic Party,” Nikki Haley said sparking a debate and leading capitalism and socialism to trend.

Haley is the former  American Ambassador to the United Nations. Haley said this year is marked by socialism going "mainstream" in the United States and showed deep concern about the same.

Many believe Haley will be in the Presidential Race in 2024 and her comments are primed towards the same.

What is Socialism?

Socialism is a political and economic theory of social organisation which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

Some came out to support her comments while others questioned her logic saying much of America's systems were rooted in the idea of community and citizen wellbeing.

A bit about Nikki Haley

Her View on Religious Rights

Of Indian origin, Nikki Haley  asserted that religious freedom is as important as freedom of people and their rights. “It makes my heart happy to be back in India, it is as beautiful as I remember it to be. It’s always good to be back home. My parents said I was crazy to come at this time of the year because it is so hot. But, I will tell you that the heat is worth it to be back in India,” she told reporters in 2018.
