The father, Pankaj, demanded that his wife and her friend should be hanged. However, the mother, Shanta Sharma, has just one question to ask- "Can a mother kill her son?"

As per the reports, on Friday, the eight-year-old was stabbed with a vegetable knife multiple times, head struck repeatedly with an iron rod and smashed against a stone idol in the house.

The cops claim that Shanta Sharma had a romantic relationship with her friend Iffat Parveen. She killed her son to silence him after he saw her in a compromising position with her friend.

On Wednesday, the Serampore subdivisional court sentenced Shanta Sharma and Iffat Parveen to a nine-day police remand. The two accused didn't have a lawyer to represent them during the case. While the child's father was standing outside the court with tearful eyes.
