Further Details On The Injured Woman

According to the reports from India Today, Sheeja Anand, aged 41, who has been residing in Israel for seven years, contacted her family in India to assure them of her safety when Hamas initiated a sudden and extraordinary attack on Israel early October 7.

Subsequently, she placed another call to her husband, but the conversation was abruptly disconnected by a distressing loud noise in the background.

Subsequently, Anand's family received a call from an individual of Indian nationality residing in Israel, who informed them that Sheeja had sustained injuries and had undergone surgery shortly after. According to reports, Sheeja has since been transferred to another hospital for further treatment. 

Anand's husband and their two children are currently residing in India, with the husband employed in Pune.

According to the reports, a group of over 200 individuals from Kerala found themselves stranded in a hotel located in Bethlehem, and they are presently safe. One of the members of this group, named Joy, mentioned that they were attending a mass when they heard air raid sirens.

This group has been advised to remain at their hotel in Bethlehem, even though their original schedule had them departing for Egypt. Additionally, there are reportedly 45 more individuals from Kochi who are stranded in a hotel in Palestine. This group is also safe and has obtained permission to cross the border.

Extradiate Mission

The Indian Ambassador to Israel and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan have been informed about the situation in Israel.

Approximately 18,000 Indian citizens reside and work in Israel, and there have been no adverse incidents involving them.

The Indian embassy in Tel Aviv and the Representative Office of India in Palestine have released advisories, urging Indian nationals on both sides to stay vigilant and to immediately get in touch with the respective offices in the event of an emergency.

Hamas' Attack On Gaza

Israel experienced an unexpected and unprecedented attack by Hamas, the governing entity of the Gaza Strip. In response to this, Hamas launched a barrage of 5,000 rockets into Israel, prompting Israel to declare war against the terrorist organization.

This three-day conflict has already resulted in the loss of over 1,100 lives on both sides, with more than 700 casualties reported in Israel, including 44 soldiers.

Israel initiated a counteroffensive with the objective of eliminating Hamas' concealed locations within the Gaza Strip. The country continued its offensive operations in the region, while certain Hamas infiltrators engaged in armed confrontations with the Israeli army in southern Israel.
