Kerala Man Approaches Police To Find Him A Suitable Bride

On Wednesday, Kadakkal Police Station registered his complaint of John who has a slight impairment in one of his eyes. In a bid to have an arranged marriage, John filed a petition mentioning that he would love to marry a girl and offer companionship without any demands or expectations from the bride or her family.

As per the report, John has been living alone after his parents died and earns daily wages from MGNREGA, distributing newspapers, and selling lottery tickets.

After receiving the complaint the police launched an investigation that confirmed the complaint was true. The police acknowledged John's request and clarified that matchmaking isn't within their purview. However, they conveyed the matter to marriage brokers and others while the young man was still pinning his hopes on law enforcement to find him a wife.

It is important to note that marriage is a significant life decision based on mutual consent and individual choice. No external entity, including the police, can force someone into marriage.

John's situation might reflect broader societal factors that influence marriage prospects, such as social networks, community support, and potential biases. Addressing these underlying issues could be more helpful in the long run.

Various platforms and communities facilitate finding potential partners based on shared interests and compatibility. Exploring these options might be more effective than seeking police assistance.
