Princess opens up about Cancer and thanks people for their support

Catherine thanked people for all the "wonderful messages of support" she has been receiving whilst she's been recovering from surgery. She mentioned how it has been a tough couple of weeks for the entire family but her great medical team has made it possible for her to have a speedy recovery. She broke the long silence on her treatment by stating that in January she underwent a major abdominal surgery in London which was successful and assumed to be non-cancerous.

She then mentioned, "However tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment."

Due to this discovery her medical team had advised her to undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy and now she is in the early stages of that treatment. She explained how it took her time to recover initially from a major surgery in order to start her chemotherapy process which can be daunting.

It has also been difficult for William and Catherine to explain everything to their children, George, Charlotte and Louis. Catherine reaffirmed by saying she has been getting stronger everyday and is recovering by focusing on the things that will help her heal.

Catherine stressed that now as a family, "We need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment." Since this news broke out people have been wishing Kate for her speedy recovery and encouraging the media to maintain privacy for the sake of her health and family.

He added, "When it comes to matters of health, like everyone else, she must be afforded the privacy to focus on her treatment and be with her loving family." US President Joe Biden said he is joining "millions around the world in praying" for Catherine's "full recovery."

Britain's King Charles said he is "so proud of Catherine for her courage in speaking as she did" and has "remained in the closest contact with his beloved daughter-in-law throughout the past weeks," after they spent time in hospital together, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said.

Charles and his wife Camilla "will continue to offer their love and support to the whole family through this difficult time," the spokesperson added.

Catherine ended the video by saying that cancer patients all around the world "are not alone" and to "not lose faith or hope." This has also encouraged many people to renavigate cancer and raise awareness about the same.
