ITI Bhopal Students Take Video Of Female Student Changing Clothes, Demand Money

Three students of the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Madhya Pradesh allegedly took a video of a female student when she was changing her clothes and demanded money from her.

The Piplani police station in charge Ajay Nair spoke with Free Press Journal that the video was shot on September 17. The ITI in Govindpura, Bhopal organised various cultural programmes on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti.

ITI Bhopal Students Blackmail Girl

Three students took a video of one of the girls changing her clothes and visited a friend of the girl and showed the video. The accused demanded money and threatened that if they did not get the money, the video would be posted on social media.

The friend shared the information with the girl in the video and they approached the Piplani police. The police registered a case under Section 384 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 67 of the Information Technology (IT) Act against the accused, Rahul Yadav, Khushbu Thakur, and Ayan. No arrests have been made so far.

The case has been forwarded to the Ashoka Garden police for further investigations as the ITI is located in the Ashoka Garden police station area.

Recently, an alleged video leak of female students in the washroom at Chandigarh University led to massive protests. The Pubjab police arrested a female student and two men from Himachal Pradesh. Investigators said that the arrested female student did not share videos of other students with anyone, but are waiting for the forensics report of the accused’s cell phone.

Another case was reported from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay where a canteen worker was arrested for allegedly peeping into the women’s washroom. A female student raised alarm after noticing someone recording her through the window slit of the washroom.

The accused, Pintu Garia allegedly climbed a pipe to peep into the women’s washroom on September 18. A case against him was lodged under Section 354 of the IPC.

IIT Bombay released a statement saying that the gaps in the ducts that may have been used by the accused have been closed.
