Police said that the alleged killer and the boy had a strained relationship for a while because the man was jealous of his relationship with another person. Friday's horrific incident came to light when the 16-year-old boy's parents made a panicked call to the police after their son did not return home even late Thursday night. The police filed a missing persons report.

Boy Found Murdered

The police found the half-burnt body of the missing boy the next day, at an isolated spot on the Jamnagar-Kalavad highway, the Times of India reported. The police said that they tracked the murderer using technical analysis and detected that the boy was last seen with the accused duo, his partner and the partner's friend.

Police inspector N A Chavda told the media that the killers were traced and they confessed to the crime immediately. The accused men also took the police to the crime spot and revealed their murder plot. The post-mortem reports showed that the boy was sexually assaulted before he was murdered by his alleged partner and his friend. Police said that the families of the boy and the accused were close friends for many years before the two started dating.

A man from Scotland was handed a life sentence in March for the murder of his same-sex partner out of jealousy. 21-year-old Aaron Ray killed Jason Brockbanks, a student of Northumbria University, in September last year because the latter was receiving messages from other men on a dating app, Grindr. 24-year-old Brockbanks was found stabbed dead in his bed, with his clothes and bedsheets blood-soaked.

Newcastle Crown Court overlooked this case and stated that if Brockbanks had received timely medical assistance, he may have survived. Justice Martin Spencer told Ray: “I find, when he was attacked, Jason was asleep under his duvet, defenceless and in no position to defend himself against your attack.
