Kerala CM praises girl for cutting off her rapist's genitals

In a daring move, a 22-year-old  student from Kerala decided to chop off her serial rapist's genital organs to avenge the trauma she went through. Her rapist is an inmate from Panmana Ashram and had been repeatedly raping her for the past seven years.

According to a report, the swami hails from Kolencherry, Ernakulam, and reportedly is a former member of the Panmana Ashram.

"My father is paralyzed and bedridden. My mother invited Swami for conducting pooja and offering prayers three years ago. He is a frequent visitor to our home," she said. She further said that when he tried to rape her on Friday night, he chopped off his sexual organ.

Kerela's Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan praised the girl for this courageous step. "It was a courageous step, no doubt about it," an ANI report quoted said Vijayan.

Shockingly, the girl's mother knew about the harassment she was facing but chose to keep mum.The Police has detained her also.

The girl's family took the sanyasi to the Thiruvananthpuram Medical College after they saw him bleeding profusely. He is in a critical condition. The godman first claimed he injured himself. However, he later confessed that the woman had attacked him.

According to India Today, the police hasn't registered a case against the girl as what she did was an act of self-defence.

Ms Prameela Devi, member of the Kerala State Women’s Commission, gave the assurance that the girl will be provided all legal help.
