Is India's film industry scared of the word Feminism? Do we give too much attention to what and how our stars think? Are they really feminists if the industry is yet debating gender pay gap? Or where women surge and grow basis the choice of the Khans?  Recently Lisa Haydon who played a bold role in the film Queen said in an interview to the Times of India, "I don't like the word feminist. I don't think women trying to be men is feminism. I also don't believe in being outspoken for the sake of it, or just to prove a point. Feminism is just an overused term."

The June edition of Feminist Rani was what it promised. Firebrand. Fierce and Fearless. Activist, stylist and feminist Sapna Bhavnani talks about the layers in which Bollywood operates. She celebrated and hailed the way Kangna Ranaut took on the whole incident around her relationship with Hrithik Roshan and how she stood her ground and career despite the Khans.

Sapna Bhavnani urged a charged up audience to think before making Bollywood stars into icons when they don't stand for equality of gender. Don't miss this interview.
