A networking website for to facilitate the functioning of the startup ecosystem is in the pipeline. Centre has planned to launch the LinkedIN of start-ups calling it ‘The Startup Hub’ which will act as a one stop platform for founders, investors, incubators, mentors, advisors, consultants, and policy makers to interact. It will come under its Startup India programme. Its aim is to build a stronger ecosystem eliminating possible challenges that the Indian start-ups are facing today.
At a meeting headed by the DIPP Secretary Ramesh Abhishek having a few angel investors, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders, a demonstration of The Startup Hub was presented. The platform will encompass tier two and tier three cities along with the metro cities so that entrepreneurs living in all parts of the country can benefit from it.
The Startup Hub will integrate with MyGov portal, which has been in effect since July 2014, to maximize the utility of resources. And since StartUp Hub will be an interactive platform it will weed out the possibility of limited accessibility for entrepreneurs.
The idea of Startup India with creating this networking website is to merge the larger private firms with government firms for the local entrepreneurs. For this, The Startup Hub has connected with Amazon, Google, SAP and other giants.

One more crucial factor of Startup Hub would be to decrease the level of spam in the system. For this, the entrepreneurs will only be allowed to connect with three to five stakeholders in a day. And further send queries, which if not answered in two attempts, will be cleared out.
The Startup Hub is not just for start-ups but also for ideators and beginners in the process of creating a startup. It will offer blogs and mentorship to people at the base level with information and resources to build a venture of their own. This will help the ecosystem to grow and progress.
Virtual meeting rooms, volunteering services and consultations to clear out pain areas are some of the other features that are being looked into to be added in the Startup Hub. It is still at the planning stage and is still receiving feedback from entrepreneurs, investors etc to build a smooth programme.
