Next year, viewers can anticipate the release of the film directed by Aanand L Rai, featuring Dhanush in the lead role as Shankar. The film has been named Tere Ishk Mein, as confirmed by Rai in his social media post, marking a reunion with actor.

Celebrating the 10-year anniversary of their film Raanjhanaa, filmmaker Aanand L. Rai took to Instagram on Wednesday to unveil the first teaser and reveal the title of his upcoming project, marking a reunion with actor Dhanush. The film has been named Tere Ishk Mein, as confirmed by Aanand in his social media post.

In the video snippet, a visibly enraged Dhanush is depicted sprinting towards a wall, holding a petrol bomb in one hand while smoking. As he dashes along a nighttime road, shards of glass shatter around him. Towards the conclusion of the clip, Dhanush's voice can be heard saying, "Last time, it was Kundan who accepted his fate. But how will you stop Shankar this time?" Kundan refers to Dhanush's character in the film Raanjhanaa.

The clip concludes with Dhanush hurling the bottle at the wall, resulting in a burst of flames that engulfs a chariot. He then walks away, letting out a scream. Throughout the video, Dhanush is seen sporting long hair and a beard, donning a grey T-shirt and jeans. In the background, an instrumental rendition of AR Rahman's music from Raanjhanaa sets the tone.

Dhanush is set to portray the character of Shankar in the upcoming film, scheduled for release next year. The video showcasing the film's glimpse was posted on YouTube by Colour Yellow Productions, Aanand L. Rai's production banner.

In their description, the banner emphasised the enduring bond and admiration between Aanand L. Rai and Dhanush, highlighting their journey from Raanjhanaa to their latest venture, Atrangi Re. The announcement stated, "On the 10th Anniversary of Raanjhanaa, we bring back this iconic duo on the big screen with #TereIshkMein! Look forward to experiencing #TereIshkMein in cinemas in 2024!"

The film is helmed by Aanand L. Rai, with Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav taking charge of the story, dialogues, and screenplay. Himanshu serves as the producer for the project. Rai has brought on board AR Rahman for music composition, while Irshad Kamil is responsible for penning the lyrics. The remaining cast members for the film have yet to be revealed.
