Khufiya, a spy thriller directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, is gearing up for its Netflix premiere. The highly anticipated Netflix movie released its trailer on September 18th.

The cast includes Tabu, Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Azmeri Haque Badhon, and the movie is based on the book Escape to Nowhere, written by Amar Bhushan, the former Chief of the Counter Espionage Unit of R&AW. The story draws inspiration from real-life events.

Khufiya Trailer Out

In the trailer, Tabu portrays the role of RAW agent Krishna Menon, while Ali Fazal plays Dev, who is suspected of being a mole involved in selling India's defence secrets. Despite being portrayed as a traitor, Ali's character vehemently defends himself. The film promises a riveting narrative filled with twists and turns, heightened by compelling background music and stellar performances.

Netflix India shared the trailer on their official social media page with the caption: "Yahan hathiyaar ke roop hain alag, aur jung hai khufiya. In a world of spies, the traitor must be brought to light. #Khufiya, streaming from October 5, only on Netflix!"

The film is scheduled for release on Netflix on October 5. Ahead of the release, the film's trailer offered a glimpse into a story filled with elements of love, loyalty, revenge, and betrayal.

Moreover, it has been officially announced that Khufiya has secured a spot in the lineup for the 21st edition of the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) in 2023. This eagerly awaited movie has been selected as the opening film for the festival, where it is poised to engage the audience with its captivating and enigmatic plot.

The man behind the world of Khufiya, director Vishal Bhardwaj shares, “I have always been very fascinated with the world of espionage and am truly excited to explore this genre with Khufiya. This film gave me a chance to reunite with Tabu, and work for the very first time with two very talented actors- Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi. It also marks my first creative collaboration with Netflix which has been both exciting and rewarding. I cannot wait to share this thrilling and powerful  story with Netflix’s audiences across 190 countries’’
