• Complaint Filed Against Women Shopping In Pyjamas

We all face sexism everyday, in one way or the other. Some are very serious and extremely offensive and some have been normalised to the extent that it doesn’t really make us protest. [Feature image: ITV]

In a shocking post which has caught attention on social media, a man posted a picture of two women in their pyjamas shopping at a Tesco store in Salford. The man took to social media and posted the picture of the women in their pyjamas and lodged a complaint on Tesco’s official page.

The man, Chris Cooke’s post read, “Dear Tesco, please can you put a rule in place that people like this will not be served in your stores. It’s bloody disgusting. This was at 7 pm last night in your Tesco Salford store and I have seen other people dressed similarly on a regular basis. I mean who doesn’t have time to get changed into clothes to go shopping” he said.

Tesco replied to the comment saying, “Many of our customers have told us that they feel uncomfortable when they see other shoppers wearing unsuitable clothing in our stores and we do try to find a balance that everyone is happy with.“Although we don’t have a formal dress code in our stores, we rely on our Management Team to use their discretion and common sense.”

The two ‘bloody disgusting’ women, as addressed by Cooke, have branded the man as “sexist and racist”. One of the women, told the Mirror, “I’m disgusted that a man has taken our picture and put it online asking for Tesco to ban people wearing their pyjamas.”We are travellers and we feel like it is sexist and racist. It’s an attack on our culture and way of life.”

The opinions of social media have been divided with some people supporting the ban on night wears in shopping places and some were shocked by such a behaviour and took to social media to express their anger against such sexism.

In yet another twitter troll, Alyssa, a girl from New Orleans, US was trolled for posting a picture of herself in her messy room. The post garnered a lot of attraction from the twitter enthusiasts. But along with a lot of funny comments and suggestions on changing her shoes, people lashed at her for keeping her room messy.

Some commented saying a room says a lot about women. One Twitter user, @bealoo asked her is “Is she living out of a garbage bag” and another user by the twitter handle Flyer_thanu2 said, “that’s just triflin to be a female and have a junky room or house. That say a lot about your upbringing”

One person commented on her bio which reads “I am probably not interested unless you’re a doctorate degree,” saying “LOL you want ur man to have a doctorate degree?? I’m sure he will lol”

Some of the hate tweets were so offensive that Alyssa had to shut her notifications off, she posted in a tweet.
