When Harry Met Sally:

A perfect mix of romantic comedy along with the New Year magic, When Harry Met Sally will not fail to make you smile.

It is so nice when you can sit with someone and not have to talk.

Sound of Music:

I remember being a part of a school play for this and had to watch it quite a few times to get the dialogues right. This is a film that always sets my mood right! Julie Andrews steals the show with her terrific performance, wit and substance to her role.

When the Lord closes a door, somewhere He opens a window

If you haven't watched this 1965 rendition of love, you're missing out on an experience.

La La Land:

Now this is a 2016 addition, but believe me you, this is the one movie you ought to watch. Riveting performance by Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling will most definitely make you switch your music preference to Jazz. It's colourful, it's engrossing, it's simple.

Here's to the ones who dream Foolish,

as they may seem

Here's to the hearts that ache

Here's to the mess we make

Yes yes yes! Start the year with a cleansing ritual, so to say. Starring Julia Roberts and based on a widely loved book, this film takes a philosophical take on life.

“Most of us, even if only for two minutes in our lives, have experienced at some time or another an inexplicable and random sense of complete bliss, unrelated to anything that was happening in the outside world.”

Serendipity:

What happens when you believe in destiny and leave every encounter to chance? In this beautiful storyline that takes up on the idea of fate and God's will, you will almost start praying for fortunate accidents!

You know, the Greek didn't write obituaries. They only asked one question after a man died: "Did he have passion?"

Home Alone:

Now this is the ultimate Christmas movie, but oh well, how can you not spend December NOT watching this all-time favourite? Director Chris Columbus had his audience gripped and laughing their hearts out with this movie. It is definitely a Christmas special. Eight-year-old Kevin was undoubtedly loved not just by kids, but the adult audience as well. What happens when a child is left home alone and encounters burglars? An innocent face paired with childish bravery caught well with most of us. Just to juggle your memory, here's a video:
