Just days after Maharashtra's Shani Shingnapur temple opened its doors to women, Swaroopanand made these bizarre remarks. It took a mega campaign for women to end a centuries-old ban that said women were not permitted into the temple's inner sanctum. The courts supported the various activists and ruled that the ban was in the wrong.
